Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before sailing with us from Badalona Marina.
Booking & prices
How much does it cost to rent the boat?
Self-drive from €150 for 2 hours up to €420 for a full 8-hour day. With skipper from €220 for 2 hours (fuel included). See all prices on our rates page.
What is the minimum and maximum duration?
We rent by the hour: minimum 2 hours and maximum 8 hours per trip.
How many people fit on board?
Up to 7 people on board in total. If you book with skipper, the skipper counts within those 7 places.
What is included in the price?
The boat exclusively for your group, floating island, paddle board and Bluetooth sound system. With skipper, fuel is also included.
What extras can I add?
Donut (€50) and a cooler with soft drinks, water and beer (€25).
Sailing
Do I need a licence?
If you drive the boat yourself, you need a valid boating licence (Spanish PNB or a higher/equivalent qualification), because the engine is 150 hp. If you book with skipper, no licence is needed.
Is there a deposit?
For self-drive rentals a €800 deposit is required, refunded at the end if everything is in order. No deposit with skipper.
How does fuel work?
With skipper it is included. Self-drive: the boat leaves with a full tank and you pay for the fuel used on return.
Where is the departure point?
From Badalona Marina (with or without skipper) or, with skipper, from Port Ginesta, Mataró or Lloret de Mar. Choose the port when booking and we will send you the exact meeting point on WhatsApp. See departure ports. Please arrive 15 minutes early.
Changes & weather
What if the weather is bad?
Safety comes first. If sea conditions don’t allow sailing, we offer a free date change or a full refund.
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes. Free cancellation up to 48 hours before departure. With less notice we can help you change the date, subject to availability.
What should I bring?
Swimwear, towel, sunscreen, sunglasses and non-marking shoes. For self-drive, your licence and ID or passport.
What if I get seasick?
If you tend to get seasick, we recommend taking a motion-sickness tablet (such as Biodramina, available in any Spanish pharmacy) about 30 minutes before boarding, eating a light meal and avoiding alcohol beforehand. On board, looking at the horizon and staying in the middle of the boat also helps. Ask your pharmacist if in doubt.
